MTC uses a variety of overhire technicians throughout the season; positions are filled on an as needed basis from a list of available qualified artisans. Positions filled this way include:

Telemarketers Needed at MTC for Subscription Campaign (posted 5/1/09)

Marin Theatre Company is looking for telemarketers for its 2009/2010 season subscription campaign. The telemarketing staff will work at the theater. The shifts are on weekday early evenings and Saturday mornings. The campaign will run for 10 weeks and begin in early May. Telemarketers will be responsible for selling subscriptions. Some duties include: initiating and closing sales with patrons, follow-up calls on potential sales and follow-up on final payment of sales made over the phone.

Previous customer service and/or sales experience is desirable, but a basic love of theatre and/or acting experience are a bonus! We will train.

This is a seasonal position. Applicant should have excellent phone skills and be detail-oriented. We use a soft sales technique, focusing on the service aspect of the calls, and call only patrons with whom we have relationships.

Telemarketer hourly rate is $10 plus sales commission. This is a great part-time position for the summer, with additional hours possible during the fall.
